Igreja dos Santos Mártires

Main Façade

Santos Mártires of Viana do Castelo Church, popularly known as "Igreja das Ursulinas," is a small temple dating back to the eighteenth century, attached to a large building that served firstly as a prayer and contemplation site and then as a convent under the title Colégio de Nossa Senhora das Chagas driven by religious Ursulinas (which is why, although improperly, they call it Ursulinas Church).

The frontage with the images of the three holy martyrs from Viana do Castelo, Teófilo, Satúrnio and Revoata deserves special attention.. Its simple interior is a soft and sweet place where the spirit invites us to meditate.
